Job Responsibilities
Supervise marine construction operations, such as Marine structure building.
Coordinate barges, pontoons, cranes, workboats, and sea-based material delivery logistics.
Compile and submit daily or weekly progress updates to the project manager and stakeholders, outlining achievements, issues, delays, and corrective actions.
Lead site mobilization and marine setup works, including temporary access routes, work platforms, staging zones, slit curtains, and turbidity control systems.
Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, QA/QC requirements, environmental standards, and applicable marine regulations.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, marine personnel, and specialist vendors to ensure work sequencing, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols.
Prepare and review technical submissions such as method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and marine coordination documentation for approval.
Liase with consultants, regulatory authorities, and internal departments regarding permits, inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
Promote and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and environmental compliance, including monitoring tidal conditions, weather factors, and marine operational constraints.
Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely mobilization of marine equipment, materials, and site consumables.
Provide engineering support and assist with planning or ad-hoc technical tasks to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a Related Field.
Experience in caisson works or marine heavy lifting operations
Experience in construction planning and scheduling
Strong experience in preparing Method Statements (M/S), ITPS, and other technical documents.
Knowledgeable in marine plant and equipment operations, temporary works, and construction planning and execution.
Experience in preparing construction plans using CAD drawings
Strong experience in quantity calculations
Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience
Primary Activity: Building Construction N.E.C (41009)
Secondary Activity: Land Reclaimation Works (42901)
