Role Description The Mortgage Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. In this position, the consultant provides guidance to customers on mortgage solutions, assesses their financial needs, and recommends suitable products aligned with Manulife’s offerings and policies. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients, explaining mortgage features and terms, preparing and processing mortgage applications, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams, maintaining strong relationships with business partners, and following up with customers to support them throughout the mortgage approval and disbursement process. The consultant is expected to deliver high-quality customer service, meet sales and service targets, and uphold Manulife’s standards of professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications

• Relevant knowledge and experience in the mortgage industry, including mortgages and mortgage lending.
• Solid understanding of finance principles and the ability to analyze customers’ financial profiles.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and provide clear explanations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in basic office software and digital tools used for documentation and customer management.
• Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya, collaborate with diverse teams, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Prior experience in banking, insurance, or financial services is an advantage.
