Software Engineering Intern (Full-Stack Web Development)

About Pemizo Technologies

Pemizo Technologies is a Malaysia-based technology company helping businesses improve their operations through software, automation, AI, and system integration.

We work on real business challenges and build practical solutions that make a measurable difference.

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is curious, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to take on new engineering challenges.

You'll work closely with our founder, who brings over six years of software engineering experience, including enterprise system integrations for Fortune 500 companies.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, contribute to real products, and understand how technology solutions are built for businesses.

As a growing company, we offer an environment where you can learn directly from engineering decisions, contribute ideas, and gradually take on greater responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve web applications, frontend interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
• Contribute to projects involving business systems, automation, and AI.
• Work with modern development tools, frameworks, and databases.
• Participate in technical discussions, debugging, testing, and code reviews.
• Learn how software is designed, developed, deployed, and maintained.
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Take increasing ownership of tasks and features as your skills develop.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic programming knowledge, preferably JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web development concepts, APIs, and databases.
• Strong willingness to learn, experiment, and tackle unfamiliar challenges.
• Ability to think logically, solve problems, and communicate when help is needed.
• A responsible attitude towards work, deadlines, and continuous improvement.

Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Git, or similar technologies is an advantage, but not required.

We value curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn more than an impressive résumé.

Working Arrangement

• Location: Kota Damansara IOI mall, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
• Workplace: Hybrid, with scheduled in-person collaboration and mentorship.
• Working hours: Flexible, with agreed availability during regular working days.
• Duration: Preferably at least 3 months.
• Equipment: BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is preferred initially, with flexibility based on the candidate's circumstances and project requirements. Equipment arrangements can be discussed and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We believe in giving people flexibility while maintaining accountability, open communication, and strong collaboration.

What We Offer

• Competitive monthly internship allowance.
• Company-provided development equipment or an agreed personal-device arrangement.
• Flexible hybrid working environment.
• Direct mentorship, technical guidance, and code reviews from an experienced software engineer.
• Hands-on experience working on real products and business solutions.
• Exposure to full-stack development, software architecture, AI, and automation.
• Opportunities to contribute ideas and take ownership of meaningful engineering work.
• Potential for a full-time employment opportunity based on performance and business needs.

Grow With Us

We're building Pemizo for the long term, and we believe great engineers grow through curiosity, practical experience, and meaningful challenges.

You don't need to know everything from day one. What matters is your willingness to learn, take initiative, and improve along the way.

If you're looking for more than just completing an internship requirement, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply: Submit your résumé and, if available, your GitHub profile, portfolio, or a project you're proud of.

• Tell us a little about what you've built, what you've learned, or what you're excited to learn next.
