Business Development Director (Construction & Engineering Sector)
Job Summary
We seek an experienced Business Development Director to drive growth and secure projects in Singapore's construction and engineering industry. This senior role requires hands-on involvement from tender to project completion, including operational support beyond office hours.
Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and secure new projects in construction, engineering, renovation, infrastructure, and maintenance sectors within Singapore
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, consultants, project owners, government agencies, and main contractors to expand business opportunities
Source new business through industry networking and market intelligence gathering
Lead tender submissions, negotiate contracts, and manage project acquisition activities to secure profitable deals
Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure smooth execution and high client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles
Develop and implement strategic business plans and market development initiatives to drive company growth
Support management in achieving company revenue and growth targets through proactive business development efforts
Attend site meetings, client meetings, and project discussions as required to address operational and business needs
Provide business and operational support beyond normal working hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet project demands
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Established reputation within Singapore's construction industry
Proven track record of successful project acquisition and client retention
Extensive practical industry knowledge from long-term field and management experience
Results-oriented mindset with ability to deliver measurable business growth

Must be available for urgent client, project, and business matters outside normal office hours
Willing to support project requirements on weekends and public holidays when necessary
