Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of design engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support.
Oversee the full product and equipment design and development lifecycle.
Ensure engineering projects are delivered according to cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
Plan and allocate engineering resources effectively across projects.
Provide hands-on technical leadership in mechanical design, analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
Work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.
Engage directly with customers and colleagues through face-to-face discussions, conference calls, and emails.
Review project requirements and provide regular updates on product development progress.
Drive technical excellence and continuous improvement within the Engineering team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
More than 10 years of experience in equipment design within the semiconductor, automation, solar, or consumer electronics industries.
At least 3 to 5 years of experience leading or managing a team of design engineers in equipment design.
Strong foundation in mechanical engineering concepts and analytical problem-solving.
Sound knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis and Finite Element Analysis.
Proficiency in 3D solid modelling is essential, with SolidWorks experience preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with customers and colleagues.
Self-motivated, independent, flexible, and results-oriented.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
