We are partnering with an insurance company to hire a finance professional for their Singapore branch. In a lean team, you will be in a hands-on controller role, owning the full sets of accounts for the entity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the monthly close and full set of accounts for the Singapore entity, including posting journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting
• Oversee the credit control function
• Prepare statutory and regulatory filings: MAS annual returns, IRAS corporate tax, quarterly GST, and ACRA annual return
• Support year-end audit, including audit confirmations, schedules, and liaison with auditors, tax consultants, and corporate secretary
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, and reporting; build and maintain Excel-based models and reports (team P&L, forecasting, budgeting)
• Support FP&A, forecasting, and liquidity management as the team evolves

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (CA / CPA / ACCA) with a degree in accounting; minimum 3 years' relevant experience
• Insurance background strongly preferred
• Hands-on, end-to-end accounting experience: you can post, reconcile, report, and close independently
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with MAS reporting, IRAS (GST/corporate tax), and external audit
• Comfortable working with offshore shared-service centres and following group-controlled systems and processes
• Independent, resilient, quality-driven, and flexible
• A can-do attitude; able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
