About the role

Installs, maintains, and repairs ordered production equipment, items, and infrastructure through mechanical work in an industrial context, while following health & safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines

Find the most effective ways to respond to routine functional inquiries, involving following procedures and precedents

Conduct complex analyses, quality tests, and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment

Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work

Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others

Organize own work schedule each day in line with changing priorities

Develop and maintain excellent process or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment

About you

Post-secondary non-tertiary education

Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)

Verbal communication skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans

Ability to manage and apply safe systems of work with guidance

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives

Ability to optimize the utilization of production plant, equipment and materials

Ability to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals

Knowledge of CNC and PLC systems is an added advantage
