Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience or knowledge in enterprise IT infrastructure, particularly servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and data centre solutions.

• Familiarity with enterprise server platforms such as Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant, Lenovo ThinkSystem, or equivalent products.

• Understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, RAID, storage capacity planning, and backup solutions.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP, and network architecture.

• Understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or equivalent platforms is an advantage.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications, customer requirements, product datasheets, and infrastructure configurations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Good communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to participate in technical discussions and customer meetings.

• Able to work closely with Sales Executives, technical engineers, vendors, and customers to develop suitable solutions.

• Strong willingness to learn new technologies and keep up with changes in the IT infrastructure market.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail when preparing technical proposals, configurations, and Bills of Materials.

• Able to manage multiple customer enquiries and support sales opportunities within agreed timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in IT presales, technical consulting, solution design, systems engineering, or enterprise IT support.

• Experience supporting data centre infrastructure projects involving compute, storage, and networking solutions.

• Familiarity with enterprise IT brands such as Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, Ruijie, and TP-Link.

• Relevant vendor certifications in servers, storage, networking, virtualization, or cloud technologies.

• Experience preparing technical proposals, tender documents, solution presentations, and Bills of Materials.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical requirements with customer budgets and business objectives.

• Prepare solution proposals for servers, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, and other infrastructure components.

• Presales Support: Work closely with Sales Executives to support customer enquiries, identify technical requirements, and develop suitable solutions that align with customer budgets and expectations.

• Customer Meetings & Presentations: Attend customer meetings, technical discussions, and presentations alongside Sales Executives to explain proposed solutions, clarify technical requirements, and address customer concerns.

• Solution Comparison: Evaluate and compare technical specifications, features, performance, scalability, compatibility, and pricing across different IT hardware vendors to recommend the most appropriate solutions.

• Bill of Materials (BOM): Prepare and validate technical Bills of Materials, equipment configurations, and supporting documentation for quotations, tenders, and project proposals.

• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with manufacturers, distributors, and technology partners to obtain technical information, validate configurations, confirm product compatibility, and identify suitable solutions.

• Proof of Concept (POC): Support proof-of-concept activities, product demonstrations, and technical presentations when required.

• Technical Proposal Development: Prepare technical write-ups, solution diagrams, presentations, and supporting documents for customer proposals and tender submissions.

• Project Handover: Coordinate with the technical implementation team to ensure that proposed solutions meet the agreed technical requirements and facilitate a smooth handover after project confirmation.

• Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with developments in enterprise IT infrastructure, data centre technologies, server and storage platforms, networking solutions, and emerging technologies.
