Remittance Processing – Banking Industry

Job Responsibilities

• Verify and authorise remittance transactions such as Telegraphic Transfer (TT), MEPS, Demand Draft and Corporate Cheque within approved limits.
• Perform callback, signature verification and payment processing according to established procedures.
• Liaise with customers, branches and internal business units to clarify and resolve discrepancies in payment instructions.
• Ensure daily transactions are processed accurately and within the required SLA.
• Handle internal and external customer queries, feedback and complaints promptly.
• Monitor system availability and escalate any issues that may impact payment processing timelines.
• Participate in UAT, projects and process improvement initiatives when required.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, regulations and operational guidelines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a time-sensitive environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 months – 1 year of relevant experience in remittance/payment processing.
• Handling remittance transactions such as TT, MEPS, drafts or related payment products.
• Basic/fundamental knowledge of SWIFT and remittance-related regulations and guidelines.
• Experience in banking operations, payment operations or transaction processing will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to liaise with customers, branches and internal stakeholders.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a time-critical environment.
• Meticulous, accurate and risk-conscious with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, customer-oriented and able to handle operational issues professionally.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per hour
