Your new role

• As a Japanese-speaking Finance & Accounting professional, you will support end-to-end general accounting and financial closing activities. Your responsibilities will include:
  
• Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities
• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals and accounting transactions
• Managing fixed assets, depreciation runs and asset registers
• Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
• Clearing open items and ensuring accurate and timely account closure
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages
• Supporting internal controls, compliance requirements and audit queries
• Participating in continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives
• Providing guidance and support to junior team members.
  
  What you'll need to succeed
• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
• Hands-on experience in general accounting, month-end closing and balance sheet reconciliation
• Knowledge of SAP or other ERP accounting systems
• Good command of English and proficiency in Japanese
• Shared Services Centre or BPO experience would be an advantage
• Strong attention to detail with good stakeholder and communication skills
