We’re Hiring! | Business Development Manager – Automation Transformation (Intralogistics: AGV, AMR, Shuttle Systems)

Location: Malaysia (Regular collaboration with Singapore HQ)

Are you a builder who thrives on taking high-tech solutions into new markets? We are seeking a high-calibre Business Development Manager to spearhead our expansion into Malaysia’s autonomous intralogistics and automation sector.

This isn't a traditional product-selling role. You will act as a consultative transformation partner—diving deep into warehouse and factory operations to identify inefficiencies and architect intelligent autonomous solutions (AGVs, AMRs, Shuttle Systems) that dramatically boost productivity and throughput.

Malaysia is X2’s next frontier, and this role is responsible for opening it from the ground up. You will own account selection and territory planning, backed by Singapore HQ’s technical, pricing, and strategic resources. By the end of Year 1, you will have closed our first Malaysian deployments and established a high-performing ecosystem pipeline.

• Drive Revenue: Close new business with Malaysian enterprise clients and scale existing deployments into larger, multi-site projects.
• Build Partner Ecosystems: Recruit, enable, and co-sell alongside top-tier System Integrators (SIs), dealers, and technology partners across Malaysia.
• Leverage Group Synergies: Collaborate closely with Goldbell and other group companies to surface opportunities within established network accounts.
• Consultative Discovery & Solutioning: Conduct on-site operational visits to evaluate workflows, constraints, and ROI metrics for decision-makers.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with the X2 Solutions team to guarantee successful deployments and work with HQ leadership to tailor market-specific strategies.
• Pipeline Discipline: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting for executive leadership visibility.
  

We are looking for

• 8+ years of B2B business development, channel sales, or enterprise sales in industrial automation, robotics, or intralogistics in Malaysia.
• Solid technical domain expertise in AMRs, AGVs, ASRS, Conveyors, and WMS/MES software integrations. (Experience as a Solution Architect or Sales Engineer is a strong bonus!).
• Proven track record of opening new markets, closing greenfield accounts, and co-selling with System Integrators and OEMs.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build bulletproof business cases for C-suite decision-makers.
• Fluency in English & Bahasa Malaysia with a willingness to travel across key industrial hubs in Malaysia.
