Essential functions

Oversee and perform in-process inspections and manage and mentor a team of inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to meet quality objectives.

Responsibilities

1. In-Process Inspection & Monitoring: Oversee and perform in-process inspections of flex circuits manufacturing to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
2. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of inspectors, providing guidance, training, and support to meet quality objectives.
3. KPI Management: Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators related to process quality, defect rates, and inspection efficiency.
4. Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions: Lead investigations into quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-compliances detected.
5. Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize processes, reduce defects, and improve product quality.
6. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate inspection records, process documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
7. Communication: Articulate quality issues clearly to cross-functional teams and drive teams toward achieving quality goals and continuous improvement.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical & Electronics, Material, or Chemical Engineering
2. At least 2 years’ experience in QA/IPQC/CQE/QMS, preferably with actual product/process/customer quality management
3. Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skill including building a strong quality culture
4. Equipped with critical and systemic thinking - ability to identify and drive effective but simple quality improvement
5. Knowledge & exposure to ISO audits, 7 QC tools, FMEA & lean six sigma.
6. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
7. Exposure to ISO audit will be an added advantage.
