Senior Android Developer (Kotlin & SDK Development)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Kotlin, modern Android development, and SDK/library development, with a strong understanding of Clean Architecture and scalable application design.

You will work on an Android project that uses Jetpack Compose for its UI layer and StateFlow-based unidirectional data flow. You will also contribute to the ongoing migration from legacy MVVM to Clean Architecture and help maintain a published eCommerce SDK with a focus on performance, backward compatibility, and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications and SDKs using Kotlin.
• Implement reactive and asynchronous data flows using Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, particularly StateFlow.
• Build modern UI components using Jetpack Compose and contribute to the design system.
• Support the migration from legacy MVVM to Clean Architecture across data, domain, and presentation layers.
• Implement data mapping from DTOs to domain models and UI states.
• Develop and maintain Android SDKs, ensuring stable APIs, backward compatibility, and effective version management.
• Manage SDK publishing and distribution through Maven repositories and Artifactory.
• Implement dependency injection using Koin or other suitable DI frameworks.
• Integrate APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Maintain and optimize multi-module Gradle builds, product flavors, version catalogs, and other build configurations.
• Write and maintain unit tests using MockK, Turbine, and Truth.
• Enforce code quality standards using Detekt, Android Lint, and CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines and Flow, with hands-on experience using StateFlow for unidirectional data flow.
• Extensive experience with Jetpack Compose, including custom UI components and design systems.
• Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, including data, domain, and presentation layers.
• Experience with Android SDK or library development, including API design, backward compatibility, versioning, and publishing.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks such as Koin, or strong transferable DI knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with Retrofit and OkHttp for API integration.
• Strong Gradle expertise, including multi-module projects, product flavors, buildSrc, version catalogs, and BOMs.
• Experience writing unit tests using MockK, Turbine, and Truth.
• Familiarity with static analysis and code quality tools such as Detekt and Android Lint.
• Experience working with CI pipelines and maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating legacy MVVM implementations to Clean Architecture.
• Experience developing and publishing commercial or internal Android SDKs.
• Familiarity with Maven and Artifactory repository management.
• Experience working with complex, modular Android codebases and established design systems.
