Job Summary
The Account Assistant isresponsible for providing daily accounting and administrative support to ensureaccurate financial records and smooth accounting operations. The role involveshandling invoices, payments/collection, data entry, reconciliations, inventorycontrol, and other accounting-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Handle accounts receivable and inventory control.
Prepare, issue, and process invoices/credit note, statement of accounts and payment receipts.
Monitor stock movements, including receiving, issuing, transferring, and returning goods.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers or suppliers.
Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stocktaking.
Reconcile physical stock quantities against system records.
Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods.
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding account matters.
Perform general administrative duties and other ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
Job Requirements
Minimum GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification; a certificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.
Previous experience in accounts receivable and inventory management is preferred.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and inventory control.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) System is preferred.
Good numerical, organizational, and communication skills.
Meticulous, responsible, and able to work independently.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
