Job Title: Onsite IT Support Technician / Field Service Engineer — Freelance & Part-Time

RANGKAIAN DIGITAL SDN. BHD. is seeking reliable freelance and part-time IT Support Technicians to provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and IT installation services at customer premises. This role suits individuals with practical IT skills who are interested in flexible, assignment-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend assigned customer sites for IT troubleshooting and technical support.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, operating system, software, and basic network issues.
• Install and configure computers, peripherals, applications, and network equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on IT equipment.
• Assist with equipment deployment, replacement, relocation, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network cabling issues.
• Coordinate with our technical team and provide timely job progress updates.
• Submit Field Service Reports (FSR), service photos, equipment details, and customer acknowledgement after completing each assignment.
• Follow customer site procedures and maintain confidentiality when handling systems and data.

Requirements

• Practical experience in IT support, desktop support, computer repair, or field service.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, printers, and basic networking.
• Able to work independently, communicate professionally, and follow technical instructions.
• Own transport and willingness to travel to assigned customer sites.
• Smartphone with internet access for job coordination, updates, and report submission.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsive to agreed assignments.
• Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
• Experience with servers, firewalls, switches, structured cabling, or fibre optic installations is an added advantage.

Work Arrangement & Payment

• Freelance or part-time assignments based on project requirements, customer location, and your availability.
• Assignments may include scheduled maintenance, installations, deployments, and support call-outs.
• Some assignments may require evening or weekend availability, subject to prior agreement.
• Payment rates, job scope, travel arrangements, and payment terms will be agreed before each assignment.
• Assignment availability may vary according to customer demand.
