Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research and Development Engineer role based in Kuala Lumpur. The Research and Development Engineer will design, develop, and improve plastic products and related manufacturing processes. Daily responsibilities include conducting research on materials and technologies, planning and executing tests, analyzing data, and documenting results. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and sales teams to translate customer requirements into manufacturable solutions, resolving technical issues, and supporting product scaling from prototype to full production.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret test data, evaluate product performance, and solve complex technical problems.
• Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development skills to design, refine, and implement new or improved plastic products and processes.
• Candidates should possess Testing and Research skills to plan experiments, validate materials and designs, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Candidates should ideally have knowledge of polymer science, materials engineering, or mechanical engineering, with experience in plastics manufacturing or related industries.
• Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in technical documentation, use of laboratory and testing equipment, and basic data analysis tools.
• A relevant diploma or degree in engineering or a related field is preferred, along with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
