Role Overview
In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of month-end closings, driving the group budgeting process, and maintaining strict compliance with corporate and statutory guidelines. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and financial professional who can provide strategic guidance to local teams and effectively manage full-cycle accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities
Subsidiary Oversight:
Review subsidiaries’ monthly accounts, reporting packages, and tax filing documents to ensure accurate and timely month-end closing and tax filings.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Perform deep-dive variance analysis and prepare key management financial reports for leadership review.
Full-Cycle Accounting & Leadership:
Manage the full cycle of accounting matters and provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members as needed.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flows and assess the capital requirements of various subsidiaries.
Technical Advisory:
Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues to local and regional subsidiary teams.
Statutory Compliance:
Draft statutory financial statements and ensure all reporting meets regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact to liaise with outsourced accountants, company secretaries, external auditors, and tax consultants.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Coordinate and drive the Group's forecasting and annual budgetary processes.
Corporate Governance:
Maintain and enforce strict compliance with accounting policies, guidelines, and internal control systems as laid down by the Head Office.
Ad-Hoc Support:
Assist in other strategic financial matters and cross-functional projects as required.
