Nilai Apparel Gift & Souvenir is looking for a proactive and technically skilled Mechanical Engineer Intern to support equipment maintenance, machinery performance improvement, and manufacturing process optimisation.

This internship provides an opportunity to apply engineering knowledge in a real manufacturing environment, particularly in industrial printing machinery, production equipment, mechanical systems, and factory automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial printing and apparel manufacturing machinery.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to reduce machine downtime.
• Analyse mechanical issues and assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures.
• Assist in improving machine efficiency, production workflow, and equipment reliability.
• Support maintenance activities involving heat press systems, cutting machines, printing equipment, and mechanical components.
• Assist in designing simple mechanical improvements, machine fixtures, or production tools.
• Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase productivity.
• Prepare technical documentation, maintenance records, and equipment inspection reports.
• Assist in evaluating equipment modifications and potential automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Production Team to resolve technical issues affecting manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures during machine inspections and maintenance.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, machine components, and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Interest in industrial machinery, manufacturing systems, and process automation.
• Willing to perform hands-on technical and maintenance work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• No previous working experience required.
