We are looking for a business minded Senior HSE Manager/HSE Manager to be part of our fast-growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HSE aspects of MY data center projects. He/she will be implementing and monitoring HSE issues on daily basis, maintaining HSE records and reporting it on timely manner.

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage sub-contractors on-site to work safely and economically, by coordination of all trades.
• Oversee the fitting out of a floor or multiple floors.
• Collaborate and report to HSE Director in designing, leading, and driving the HSE framework and program.
• Implement HSE initiatives on ground, including safety training programs to upskill employees and contractors’ safety capabilities and HSE awareness to ensure compliance.
• Comply and implement HSE policy/ guidelines with consideration of the best market practices pertaining to Greenfield Data Centre and fit-out projects.
• Constantly keeping abreast and proposing the HSE framework/ policy/ guidelines to adopt the best relevant market practices.
• Influence and lead stakeholders towards building a strong HSE culture.
• Ensure compliance to local HSE legislation and Company’s HSE policy.
• Support the attainment of relevant HSE certifications, including preparing for audits, fronting external auditors, and conducting internal audits.
• Support the application and attainment of the applicable HSE permits/ licenses and pre-empt possible risk that will hamper the operations of data centre.
• Perform risk assessment.
• Work closely with the Engineering team in ensuring Safety is incorporated in all operational sites and construction data centers.
• Adopt a hand-on attitude in managing the HSE issues on-site, including client management and reviewing all Safe Work Procedure for construction work by contractors.
• Lead incident management, including performing detailed Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive and/ or corrective action plans.
• Implement system to ensure contractor’s compliance to HSE policy.
• Assess and ensure contractors’ HSE competency through periodical audits
• Manage reporting and HSE data analysis, regularly update Management of HSE related statistics, identify trends, highlight possible risks and mitigating action and/ or improvement plans.
• Manage on-site security, including adopting best market practices, on-site incidents and management of outsourced security vendors.
• Conduct planned and adhoc audit in construction site / operations and report the observations for necessary corrections.
• Conduct periodic review of safety compliance of operational data center, and project site.
• Maintain the HSE related documents and records to support any kind of audit requirement’s
• Forecast training programs required for labours, employees etc. based on their job domain and impart trainings ensuring 100% compliance. Maintain the training records
• Carry out monthly R&R program to contractors and working staffs
• Forecast the budget required for carrying out various safety activities / requirements like PPEs, Tools & tackles, trainings, R&R programs etc.
• Drive implementation of 5 point PPE safety culture
• Carry out HRA audit on regular intervals and highlight the observations to the contractors seeking / following-up for closures
• Review the safety policies at periodic intervals and update on need basis
• Carry out Safety Assessment engaging 3rd party consultants and implement the action plans based on the assessment outcome / suggestions.
• Keep watching out for the best practices in safety across industry and initiate key actions to drive best safety work culture.

Qualities

• Diploma/bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent,
• Professional qualifications in HSE and Fire and/ or Safety Management Systems will be an added advantage.
• 12 to 15 years of experience in HSE, preferably in construction sector in MEP projects and operations.
• Adequate knowledge in HSE Management Systems, ISO14000 & ISO45000, Environmental Pollutants, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing Techniques and Safety training.
• Familiarity with local HSE and Security codes & norms.
• Willingness to provide after-hours on-call management support and participate in emergent, large scale event response when needed.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholders’ management skills.
• Effective communicator, sending clear, concise, and consistent message.
• Good in Microsoft Office applications.
