Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to support a high-impact digital transformation initiative for the Singapore Government. You will work closely with stakeholders, users, product teams, and developers to design intuitive and accessible digital services. The role requires strong user research, interaction design, stakeholder management, and agile delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse user, business, and operational challenges to identify root causes and develop effective solutions that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, business analysts, developers, and project teams to understand requirements and influence user-centred outcomes through research.
• Take ownership of assigned modules and design deliverables from discovery through implementation.
• Support UX lead to mentor other designers and promote user-centred design practices across the team.
• Plan and conduct user research through interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability testing.
• Translate user insights into user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready designs.
• Design intuitive and accessible digital experiences that meet user needs and business objectives.
• Support UAT and usability testing to validate solutions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Work closely with developers and project teams to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.
• Contribute to design systems and maintain consistency across products and services.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities and continuously improve the user experience through user feedback and data-driven insights.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support research, ideation, and documentation in accordance with organisational and government standards.
• Create and maintain design artefacts using Figma, Miro, Jira, and Confluence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Systems, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and usability principles.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and translate ambiguity into actionable design solutions.
• Experience planning and conducting user research and translating findings into effective design solutions.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Experience mentoring designers or providing UX guidance within project teams.
• Proficiency in Figma, Miro, Jira, and Confluence.
• Portfolio demonstrating design thinking, problem solving, and delivered outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering public sector, government, or large-scale digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design, research, or productivity tools used within regulated environments.
• Experience working with design systems and digital service standards.
