Role Summary

The Web Application Development Intern will work closely with the Project Manager, Developers, and CTO to build, test, and improve web and mobile applications used across SOLS Group. The role provides hands-on experience in frontend and full-stack development, working with real products, users, and modern AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve web application features using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Support mobile application development using React Native.
  • Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs, Firebase, and PostgreSQL.
  • Test features, identify bugs, troubleshoot issues, and verify fixes before release.
  • Improve UI/UX across layouts, forms, dashboards, tables, and responsive interfaces.
  • Use Git and GitHub for version control, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with the Tech Leader and development team to deliver features according to requirements and quality standards.
  • Use AI coding tools responsibly to improve development efficiency while understanding and taking ownership of the code produced.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-month internship commitment.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript with fundamental coding skills.
  • Familiar with Git, GitHub, and version control.
  • Basic understanding of React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
  • Familiar with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: From RM1,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
