Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design Manager role based in Singapore. The Design Manager will oversee the end-to-end design process across architecture and interior projects, coordinating concept development, design refinement, and technical documentation. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring design teams, aligning design outcomes with client briefs, budgets, and timelines, and ensuring adherence to quality, sustainability, and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, consultants, and site teams to resolve design issues, support construction activities, and maintain design integrity through to handover. The Design Manager will also contribute to design reviews, resource planning, and continuous improvement of design workflows, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring designers, coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, and managing project timelines and resources.
• Proficiency in architectural and interior design development, including concept design, space planning, detailing, and integration of sustainable and context-sensitive solutions.
• Experience with design documentation and coordination, including working drawings, specifications, and collaboration with consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, present design proposals clearly, and manage expectations and feedback.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, local building codes, and regulatory requirements in Singapore and the region.
• Ability to work on-site and engage regularly with project teams and trades to ensure design intent is delivered during execution.
• Relevant degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field; professional registration or equivalent credentials are an advantage.
• Experience in regional projects and international collaboration is beneficial; familiarity with digital design tools and BIM workflows is a plus.
