MAHSA University is seeking an experienced and motivated academic leader to join our team as Deputy Dean. The successful candidate will support the Dean in providing academic leadership, overseeing programme quality, strengthening teaching and research, and driving the faculty’s strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for postgraduate education, research, and programme development in line with the Faculty’s and University’s strategic goals.
- Drive postgraduate student recruitment, enrolment growth, retention, and completion.
- Oversee postgraduate curriculum development, programme quality, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor postgraduate student progress, research supervision, academic performance, and graduate outcomes.
- Lead academic staff development, mentoring, workload planning, and performance management.
- Strengthen research, publications, grant acquisition, innovation, commercialisation, and industry collaboration.
- Enhance postgraduate student experience, employability, professional development, and career opportunities.
- Manage postgraduate programme budgets, financial sustainability, and resource allocation.
- Develop local and international partnerships, collaborations, and postgraduate mobility opportunities.
- Lead postgraduate committees and ensure effective governance, reporting, and implementation of university policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean and University Management.
Job Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline within Health Sciences, Nursing, Education, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in higher education, including academic leadership or management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of academic governance, curriculum development, and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in programme accreditation and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage academic operations, and support staff development.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- A track record of research, publications, and academic contributions will be an advantage.
Pay: From RM10,000.00 per month
