Location: Tanjung Langsat, Johor

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize modeling & simulation software to create and evaluate design such as per project, including Auto Desk Inventor for finite element analysis, STAAD Pro for structure analysis and PV Elite for Pressure Vessel and Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger.
• Prepare design calculations for header box, pressure vessels, tank and heat exchangers accordance to international design codes i.e ASME, PD5500, TEMA API etc using PV Elite software.
• Perform engineering calculation to which the product is to be constructed in compliance with Code and Client’s specifications (ASME VIII, Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, ANSI/API).
• To supervise Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer job task in the absence of HOD Engineering / Engineering Manager.
• Assist in estimation and proposal preliminary design work.
• Attend meeting with client when necessary to discuss engineering issues.Look for improvements regarding all aspects of Mechanical Engineering Design.
• Discuss and solve design problems with Project Department, Production Department, QA/QC Department, third party and customers.
• To review design drawings, shop fabrication drawings and cutting plans that have been prepared and produced by draughtsman in accordance with applicable standards.
• Work closely with Production Department to integrate new improvements into designs and with the QA/QC Department to ensure that required quality standards are adhered to.
• To prepare and document all engineering documents in the proper methods.
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of design or applications.
• Responsible for issuing of all outgoing transmittals and receipt of all incoming transmittals.
• To comply and implement company policy as per QMS in every task/job.To observe and implement QMS ISO 9001 : 2015.
• To observe and comply to safety rules and regulations.
• Any other instruction by verbal or written from immediate superior/Top Management

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years experience in Oil & Gas industry especially in ACHE, STHE & PVElite.
• Advance Mechanical Analysis (PVElite), Structural Analysis, AutoCAD, ASME Code Knowledge.
• Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with engineering and production teams.
• Detail-oriented, technically competent, and capable of producing accurate engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing activities.
• Punctual, discipline, good team member, fast learner, good leadership & soft skills
