QA Engineer / Software Test Engineer

(Mid-Level and Senior-Level Openings Available)

About the Role

Our client is a well-established public-sector organisation in Singapore overseeing large-scale digital transformation initiatives across multiple enterprise systems. They are seeking experienced QA Engineers / Software Test Engineers to join their quality assurance function, ensuring that mission-critical applications meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and technical integrity. This is an excellent opportunity to play a meaningful role in end-to-end software delivery within a structured yet collaborative environment, working alongside cross-functional teams of developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive

test scenarios

and test cases aligned with project objectives

Develop, maintain, and manage test plans, test scripts, and test data to ensure thorough and traceable test coverage

Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing across multiple delivery phases

Conduct

API testing

and database validation to verify system integrations and confirm data accuracy

Identify, document, track, and retest defects systematically throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution

Perform data validation and reconciliation activities in support of

data migration

exercises, verifying integrity, completeness, and accuracy of migrated datasets

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test preparation, stakeholder coordination, and defect management

Maintain thorough testing documentation, including test evidence, defect reports, and test results, while adhering to defined QA processes and best practices

Requirements

Minimum 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and application testing for enterprise-grade solutions (candidates with over 7 years of relevant experience will be considered for the Senior-level role)

Strong knowledge of

software testing methodologies

and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including both manual and automated testing approaches

Demonstrated hands-on experience across functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing disciplines

Ability to work effectively in

Agile

or iterative delivery environments, contributing actively to sprint ceremonies and continuous quality improvement

Experience with mobile application testing

Familiarity with test automation tools or frameworks

(is a bonus)
