Main Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage Industrial Engineering (IE) activities to drive production efficiency, cost reduction, process optimization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
2. Identify opportunities for manufacturing cost reduction through process improvement, waste elimination, resource optimization, and productivity enhancement.
3. Analyze and optimize production workflows, manpower allocation, and production line layouts to improve operational efficiency and overall production capacity.
4. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), standard time measurements, and work instructions to ensure operational consistency and minimize non-value-added activities.
5. Analyze manufacturing cost data, identify cost-saving opportunities, propose improvement initiatives, and monitor implementation effectiveness to ensure sustainable results.
6. Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, equipment utilization, manpower productivity, and manufacturing costs.
7. Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational excellence.
8. Lead cross-functional improvement projects, collaborating closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other relevant departments to achieve operational objectives.
9. Utilize data analysis and Industrial Engineering methodologies to identify process bottlenecks, improve production performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
10. Manage, coach, and develop the IE team, ensuring effective project execution, technical competency development, and achievement of departmental objectives.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, manufacturing process improvement, or operational excellence, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
3. Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and methodologies, particularly production process optimization, productivity improvement, manpower planning, and manufacturing cost control.
4. Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, waste reduction, and manufacturing efficiency enhancement.
5. Hands-on experience in production line layout design, capacity planning, time and motion studies, line balancing, and standard time establishment.
6. Proficient in data analysis, manufacturing performance monitoring, and process improvement methodologies, with the ability to translate data into actionable improvement initiatives.
7. Strong project management and leadership skills, with proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver measurable operational improvements.
8. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different organizational levels.
9. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive in identifying and implementing innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
10. Experience in battery manufacturing, electronics, automotive, or other high-volume manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
