The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify failure mechanisms, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed electrical failure analysis on RMA (Return Material Authorization) units and internal production fallout units to identify failure mechanisms and potential root causes.
- Conduct systematic root cause analysis using engineering and quality methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and 8D, and collaborate with relevant engineering teams to develop corrective and preventive solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive failure analysis (FA) reports documenting test results, findings, root cause, conclusions, and recommended corrective actions within the agreed turnaround time (TAT).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Design, and other cross-functional teams to resolve product issues and drive continuous improvement in product quality and reliability.
- Participate in customer technical discussions related to product failures, failure mechanisms, corrective actions, and product reliability when required.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot failure analysis equipment, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated, functional, and maintained according to applicable procedures.
- Support the development and improvement of failure analysis methodologies, test procedures, and troubleshooting techniques to improve analysis efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain proper documentation of failure analysis activities, test data, equipment conditions, and corrective actions.
