About the Roles
Join a building construction project team as a Project Coordinator based in Tampines. This is a permanent position with a 5.5-day work week from Monday to Saturday, offering a basic salary with Variable Bonus (VB). You will support site coordination, installation activities, project documentation, and communication between project stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate daily site activities among the Project Manager, installation team, client/main contractor, and subcontractors.
- Serve as the key coordination point for installation-related site matters and support timely issue resolution.
- Identify and address physical obstructions, access restrictions, installation clashes, incorrect site conditions, and other issues affecting installation progress.
- Liaise with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors when their activities impact installation works.
- Escalate technical, safety, schedule, and site concerns to the Project Manager when necessary and follow through until they are resolved.
- Monitor installation progress against project schedules and flag potential delays or risks promptly.
- Coordinate site readiness before installation, including access, work area clearance, equipment/foundation locations, and other installation requirements.
- Coordinate manpower, installation sequence, and site activities with supervisors and installation teams.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, client requirements, and site procedures.
- Assist in verifying installation locations, reference points, dimensions, and site conditions against approved drawings.
- Attend site coordination meetings, toolbox meetings, and project discussions as required.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, installation updates, issue trackers, and other project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of site issues, photos, completed works, and outstanding actions.
- Support project inspections, rectification works, handover activities, and completion documentation.
- Ensure installation teams comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and site safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Previous experience in project coordination, site coordination, construction, equipment installation, or engineering projects is preferred.
- Experience working in semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, manufacturing plants, or controlled environments is an advantage.
- Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings, layout drawings, and installation drawings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with installers, subcontractors, main contractors, and clients.
- Able to identify practical site issues and work with relevant parties to develop suitable solutions.
- Able to prepare clear progress reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Able and willing to work on site and adapt to project requirements.
- Able to work independently while keeping the Project Manager informed of important matters.
