Primary School English, Mathematics and Science Teacher

We are looking for a capable, proactive and conscientious Primary School English, Mathematics and Science Teacher who takes pride in delivering quality lessons and contributing meaningfully to students' academic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured English, Mathematics and/or Science lessons for primary school students, with a focus on strengthening foundational knowledge and preparing students for school-based assessments and the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE), where applicable.

• Teach relevant syllabus components, including English comprehension, composition writing, grammar and language use; mathematical concepts, heuristics and problem-solving techniques; and Science concepts, process skills and application-based questions.

• Prepare lesson materials, worksheets, model answers and supplementary exercises tailored to students' learning needs, academic levels and learning objectives.

• Identify students' learning gaps, monitor their progress and implement targeted interventions to address conceptual misunderstandings, weak foundational skills and recurring errors.

• Provide clear, constructive feedback to help students improve their subject mastery, critical thinking, written expression and examination performance.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson coverage, student performance and follow-up actions.

• Complete lesson preparation, marking, progress reporting and administrative duties accurately and within stipulated deadlines.

• Communicate professionally with parents and colleagues when required, providing relevant updates on students' progress and areas for improvement.

• Follow the academy's teaching standards, operational procedures and documentation requirements.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching resources, curriculum materials and instructional approaches to enhance student learning outcomes.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

• Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Primary English, Mathematics or Science.

• Ability to explain concepts clearly, systematically and in an age-appropriate manner to primary school students.

• Familiarity with the Singapore primary school curriculum and the ability to teach relevant syllabus content effectively.

• Ability to identify students' learning gaps, adapt teaching approaches and provide targeted support to students of differing abilities.

• Strong lesson-planning, classroom-management and communication skills.

• Good command of English, with the ability to communicate professionally with students, parents and colleagues.

• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage lesson preparation, marking, student records and administrative duties within stipulated deadlines.

• Able to work independently, exercise initiative and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Demonstrates patience, professionalism, accountability and a genuine commitment to students' academic development.

• Receptive to constructive feedback and willing to adhere to the academy's teaching standards, operational procedures and documentation requirements.

Preferred Requirements

• Relevant academic qualifications in Education, English, Mathematics, Science or a related discipline.

• Previous experience teaching primary school students in Singapore, particularly in a tuition centre or enrichment setting.

• Familiarity with the current MOE primary school syllabus and assessment requirements, including PSLE preparation where applicable.

• Experience preparing teaching materials, worksheets, model answers and supplementary exercises aligned with syllabus requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to improve students' academic performance through structured teaching, targeted interventions and consistent progress monitoring.

• Experience teaching students across multiple primary school levels and differentiating instruction according to their abilities.

• Experience communicating students' progress and areas for improvement to parents in a clear and professional manner.

• A track record of taking initiative, meeting deadlines and contributing to curriculum development or the improvement of teaching resources.
