CIMB is a leading ASEAN financial institution committed to driving sustainable economic growth across the region. We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Sector Banker to lead our General Industries franchise, covering priority sectors such as consumer, healthcare, and industrials (manufacturing, automotive, logistics and other selected growth industries) across ASEAN.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead CIMB’s sector strategy and development of the sector framework for General Industries across ASEAN, identifying priority subsectors, target clients and distinctive value propositions.
• Identify and originate strategic opportunities arising from regional supply-chain shifts, domestic consumption growth, industrial upgrading, digitalisation and sustainability-led investment, positioning CIMB as a trusted banking partner to lead corporates.
• Work with coverage and product partners to originate, structure and manage landmark transactions across ASEAN, including corporate lending, structured finance, acquisition financing, trade and supply-chain finance, cash management, treasury solutions, sustainable finance and investment banking opportunities.
• Drive cross-border and product collaboration across CIMB’s regional network to deepen client relationships, grow share of wallet and deliver integrated solutions across financing, transaction banking, markets and advisory.
• Shape underwriting standards and risk appetite for General Industries transactions, taking into account sector cycles, relevant sector specific risks as well as evolving ESG requirements.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with business owners, boards and senior management of corporates, multinational companies, government agencies, industry associations, private equity sponsors and other key ecosystem participants.
• Monitor sector developments and the performance and risk profile of the General Industries loan and investment portfolio and provide forward-looking insights to support portfolio actions and business decisions.

What We’re Looking For?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline.
• More than 10 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, investment banking or coverage of General Industries sectors.
• Proven track record in client origination, relationship management and execution of complex financing or advisory transactions in ASEAN.
• Strong understanding of regional industrial and consumer-sector dynamics, corporate financial analysis, credit and risk considerations, sustainability trends and CIMB’s wholesale banking product suite.
