We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to support and oversee daily operations in our Metal Press Department.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily metal press production to achieve output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Lead and manage production staff, including manpower planning, task allocation, coaching, and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate machine setup, die change, tooling, maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
• Monitor product quality, rejection, scrap, downtime, and production efficiency.
• Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, 5S, SOPs, and company requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Prepare production reports, monitor departmental KPIs, and provide updates to management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in metal stamping/press operations.
• Good knowledge of press machines, stamping dies, tooling, production planning, and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, people management, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage team performance, resolve workplace issues, and develop employees through coaching and training.
• Good communication and coordination skills across departments.
• Familiar with 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, OEE, and root cause analysis.

Experience in automotive, precision metal, or related manufacturing will be an advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
