Most tutors teach a lesson and hope the homework gets done. At Chembridge, we run a system. Students learn from summarised notes, are tested, get marked properly, and go through their gaps one-to-one. This November and December, we’re running a holiday bootcamp for students moving from Sec 3 to Sec 4, and we’re looking for part-time tutors to teach it with us.
Teaching Experience is preferred. We provide the materials and train you before the bootcamp starts.
About the bootcamp
- Online, weekday afternoons, 3–5pm
- Two batches each week: Monday + Wednesday, or Tuesday + Thursday
- Each week ends with a 1-hour mock test, followed by a diagnostic call with each student
What you’ll do
- Teach live online bootcamp sessions (2 hours each) using our summarised notes and compiled past-year exam questions
- Run and mark the weekly mock test to Cambridge examiner standard, with clear feedback on what was missing and why marks were lost
- Reply to parent and student messages within the same day during the bootcamp
- Other ad-hoc duties related to the bootcamp
Who we’re looking for
- A degree in Chemistry or a related field, or currently pursuing one. Fresh graduates are welcome.
- Strong O-Level Chemistry content knowledge
- The ability to explain hard concepts simply and confidently on camera
- Rigorous, consistent marking: you care about keywords, units and significant figures
- Warm, clear communication with parents
- Availability on weekday afternoons from November to mid-December
- A home setup with a laptop, webcam, microphone and stable internet
What you get
- Ready-made notes and past-year question compilations, so no preparation from scratch
- Training and mentorship from our founder, a Cambridge-trained chemistry educator with 8+ years of experience
- A strong record of experience for future teaching roles, and priority consideration for part-time or full-time roles at Chembridge in 2027
