The Trade Marketing Executive supports the growth of Hegen’s presence across retail channels by translating commercial and brand strategies into impactful trade initiatives and strong in-store execution.

Working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance teams, you will support retail activations, key retail accounts, product launches and promotional campaigns, while identifying opportunities to strengthen Hegen’s visibility, sell-through and presence across our retail network.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional with at least 1 year of relevant experience who enjoys being close to the market and is keen to build a career in sales and trade marketing. You will gain hands-on exposure to retailer relationships, commercial performance and on-ground execution, while developing a strong understanding of how brands grow within the retail environment.

Responsibilities

Trade Marketing & Retail Activation

• Support the planning and execution of trade marketing and retail activation plans aligned with brand and sales objectives.
• Implement channel initiatives in line with the marketing and commercial calendar.
• Work closely with the Marketing team on new product launches, promotional campaigns and retail events.
• Plan and execute trade activations, including baby fairs, retailer pop-ups, roadshows and other retail initiatives.
• Conduct regular store visits to assess brand presence, merchandising standards, competitor activities and opportunities to improve in-store execution.
• Develop and coordinate trade marketing materials, including POSM, sell-in decks, retail toolkits and promotional assets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent brand execution across retail touchpoints.
• Monitor campaign execution and proactively flag risks, delays or gaps, taking the necessary follow-up actions to keep initiatives on track.
• Track campaign performance, promotional effectiveness and ROI, and consolidate insights to support future planning.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and fulfilment teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of products and materials for campaigns and activations.

Retail Partnerships & Commercial Support

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with retail partners and key accounts, supporting day-to-day trade marketing and activation requirements.
• Work closely with retail partners to identify opportunities to strengthen Hegen’s presence, visibility and performance within their channels.
• Support the expansion of Hegen’s retail footprint through the effective rollout of Hegen across new stores, doors and retail touchpoints with existing and new retail partners.
• Support sell-in and sell-through initiatives through promotional planning, merchandising and retail activations.
• Analyse sales, channel and store performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Conduct competitor, pricing and market observations to support commercial decision-making.
• Prepare retailer presentations, activation proposals and trade materials to support account discussions and initiatives.
• Support the onboarding and operational rollout of new retail partners following commercial alignment.
• Maintain key account trackers, activation calendars and performance dashboards to ensure strong visibility and follow-through across initiatives.

Additional Information

This role involves on-ground retail, roadshow, and trade event activities, including extended periods of standing and handling merchandising materials (typically up to 5kg). Team support and appropriate equipment are provided to facilitate setup and teardown activities. Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in trade marketing, sales, account management, FMCG, retail or a related commercial function.
• A strong interest in sales, retail and trade marketing, with the motivation to understand how brands grow and perform across different retail channels.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the discipline to follow through on commitments and see tasks through to completion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging both internal stakeholders and retail partners.
• Commercially minded and comfortable working with sales data, performance metrics and market insights.
• Strong coordination and organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Resourceful, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with store visits, retail activations and hands-on field work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with sales reporting, dashboards or business intelligence tools would be an advantage.
