Role Description

Drive sales of AI products and services by connecting customer needs with practical, commercially viable solutions. Work with technical and delivery teams to explain capabilities, validate suitability, and manage opportunities from discovery through negotiation and close.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify prospects and develop opportunities within assigned markets, accounts, or industries.
• Conduct discovery discussions to understand business problems, workflows, data readiness, and purchasing requirements.
• Explain AI capabilities, limitations, deployment options, and expected value accurately.
• Coordinate demonstrations, technical assessments, and proofs of concept with solution specialists.
• Agree evaluation objectives, success criteria, timelines, and customer responsibilities.
• Develop proposals and business cases covering pricing, implementation, operating costs, and anticipated benefits.
• Address customer questions about integration, security, privacy, reliability, and human oversight with qualified specialists.
• Negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate contract reviews and handovers to implementation and customer success teams.
• Identify expansion opportunities based on demonstrated customer outcomes.
• Share market feedback and avoid unsupported claims about performance, accuracy, or autonomy.

Role-Specific Responsibilities

• AI Sales Executive: Manage prospecting, qualification, proposals, follow-up, and closing for assigned AI offerings.
• AI Sales Specialist: Provide deeper product and use-case expertise, support complex opportunities, and coordinate technical validation with solution teams.
• AI Sales Manager: Lead sales planning, coaching, pipeline reviews, and forecasting. Oversee major opportunities and align sales commitments with delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in technology sales, enterprise software, solution selling, business development, or a related field.
• Understanding of AI fundamentals, common business applications, and practical limitations.
• Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into measurable business value.
• Experience navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Strong organizational skills, commercial judgment, and consistent follow-through.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, legal, security, and delivery teams.
• A degree or diploma in business, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• For specialist roles, demonstrated expertise in relevant AI products, industries, or solution areas.
• For manager roles, experience leading sales teams and delivering revenue targets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling AI, analytics, automation, cloud, or data platforms.
• Familiarity with API-based, subscription, and usage-based commercial models.
• Experience coordinating proofs of concept and assessing return on investment.
• Knowledge of customer data requirements, enterprise integrations, and responsible AI considerations.
• Relevant industry expertise or experience selling to enterprise buyers.
• Relevant technical or sales training and certifications.
