About NUH

The National University Hospital (NUH) is Singapore’s leading university hospital, with a proud heritage dating back to 1905 with the establishment of what’s now the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Our strong ties with the medical school have shaped us into a unique institution, allowing us to seamlessly integrate clinical care with teaching and research. As a university hospital, we go beyond the realm of providing tertiary medical care. We are a hub of knowledge and innovation, attracting healthcare professionals who are passionate about pushing boundaries and making significant contributions to the field.

Overview And Purpose Of The Position

The programme aims to:

  • implement a community adolescent health initiative to provide preventive health screening for adolescents and their families;

Primary Responsibilities (AWESOME programme):

  • Co-design the programme, implementation and continuous improvement of AWeSOME, translating programme and clinical direction into clear operational plans, workflows, milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee implementation of end-to-end programme operations, including referral pathways, community partnerships, manpower, budgets, claims, reporting, governance and issue resolution.
  • Operationalise AWeSOME service development and expansion across Children’s Emergency, inpatient and selected Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) settings, while maintaining effective closed-loop care for adolescents and families.
  • Manage programme performance, evaluation and continuous improvement, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), funder requirements, budget utilisation and operational learning.
  • Coordinate AWeSOME capability-building activities and align with relevant NUHS and Population Health & Community Care (PHCC) initiatives (e.g., identifying and engaging community partners for right siting of care through PHCC teams and/or other agencies such as Agency for Integrated Care) where these strengthen programme delivery, integration and sustainability.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • Contribute to development initiatives that advance the programme and family and child health, including integration of workstreams with PHCC and National University Polyclinic.
  • Cross coverage for NUWoC Community Operations team.
  • Support for NUWoC and NUH related events.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business and healthcare related disciplines, e.g., public health.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in programme management and/or clinical operations, preferably in healthcare or a community setting, with a proven track record of translating stakeholder requirements into operational plans and delivering outcomes
  • Meticulous, hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to drive programme and operational excellence and follow through on claims, reporting, workflows and implementation issues.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and change management skills (e.g., for stakeholder and staff engagement)
