Company Description URUS AI SDN BHD develops URUS Ai, an AI-powered platform that supports engineering project execution from concept development and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) through detailed design to final handover. The solution automates engineering checks and reviews to enhance consistency, quality, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle. It delivers rapid turnaround on engineering reviews, reducing cycles from weeks to less than five days while preserving engineers’ judgement and approval authority. URUS Ai instantly compares engineering deliverables with project standards and key technical documents, identifying discrepancies and consolidating findings into actionable reports. The platform helps large-scale engineering organizations avoid significant costs by catching issues early and is configurable for EPCs, owner-operators, and engineering consultants across technical bid evaluations, design reviews, and execution-stage validations.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Software Development Engineer role based in Putrajaya. The individual in this role will design, develop, and maintain core back-end services and APIs that power the URUS Ai engineering review platform. Responsibilities include implementing scalable and reliable software components, integrating AI and data-processing pipelines, and optimizing system performance and security. The Senior Software Development Engineer will collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering domain experts to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. The role also involves code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, improving development processes, and contributing to architectural decisions to support future product growth.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in building production-grade systems and services.
• Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, and integration with cloud or on-premise infrastructure.
• Solid understanding and practical use of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts in modern programming languages.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing scalable, secure, and high-availability systems; familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, communicate technical ideas clearly, and mentor other engineers.
• Experience with AI/ML-driven platforms, engineering or industrial domains, or large-scale data-processing systems is an advantage.
