Role Description The Intern Calibration Technician role is an on-site internship position based in Melaka. Interns will assist senior technicians in performing calibration on various measuring instruments, following established procedures and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Daily tasks may include preparing equipment and tools for calibration, documenting test results and observations, labeling and organizing calibrated instruments, and maintaining calibration records in internal systems. The role also involves supporting basic troubleshooting, ensuring a clean and safe work area, and collaborating with team members to meet project timelines. Under supervision, interns will learn how to handle calibration equipment, interpret technical specifications, and communicate findings clearly to the team.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of measurement principles, calibration concepts, or related technical fields, with an interest in precision and quality.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and work instructions accurately in a laboratory or workshop environment.
• Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and ability to document data clearly and systematically.
• Good problem-solving skills, willingness to ask questions, and openness to learning from supervisors and colleagues.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a technical team.
• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in engineering, science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent training).
• Basic computer skills for data entry, report preparation, and use of calibration software or spreadsheets.
• Ability to work on-site in Melaka for the duration of the internship, with a punctual and responsible work attitude.
