Job Summary

You will customize plywood cases and wooden pallets, assist with structural design and assembly, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, provide excellent customer service, and maintain factory operations.

Responsibilities

• Customize plywood cases and crates to meet project specifications
• Customize wooden pallets and skids according to requirements
• Assist the supervisor with structural design, planning, layout, and assembly tasks
• Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations in all activities
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs effectively
• Maintain and care for factory work areas to ensure operational efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a carpenter
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints to support accurate construction
• Ability to assess the quality of materials, including plywood and timber, for suitability
• Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment safely and effectively
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
• Physical fitness with good hand-eye coordination for precise manual tasks
• Knowledge of mathematics to support measurement and design accuracy
