Infrastructure Lead / Senior Cloud Engineer – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead GCP infrastructure deployments, cloud migration, automation, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud configuration management.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement cloud security, monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting practices.
• Lead technical teams and collaborate with application developers, project managers, and senior stakeholders.
• Manage service delivery, escalations, KPIs, technical documentation, and project status reporting.
• Drive DevOps best practices, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.
• Identify opportunities to improve cloud architecture, operational processes, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Support the adoption of emerging AI technologies and cloud-based AI solutions where applicable.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience, including substantial hands-on experience in enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure projects.
• GCP Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform, including cloud architecture, deployment, operations, and security.
• Professional Certification: Must hold at least one Professional-level Google Cloud certification, such as:
• Professional Cloud Architect
• Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
• Professional Cloud Developer
• Professional Machine Learning Engineer
• Kubernetes: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and containerized environments.
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform, Pulumi, Google Cloud Config Connector (KCC), Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or equivalent tools.
• CI/CD: Experience with Google Cloud Build and other CI/CD pipeline technologies.
• Scripting: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python and Shell scripting.
• DevOps & Automation: Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, configuration management, and operational best practices.
• Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex projects, resolve escalations, and engage senior stakeholders.
• Education: Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Pay: $10,000.00 - $13,000.00 per month
