About the role
Tech-Store Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Scanning Operator to join our Records Management & Document Control team based in Cyberjaya, Selangor. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our critical business documents. As a Scanning Operator, you will be responsible for converting physical documents into digital format, ensuring accurate data capture and proper organisation of our document management system. This role is essential to supporting our operational efficiency and enabling seamless access to important records across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Operate scanning equipment and document imaging software to convert physical documents into digital formats
- Ensure accurate and complete scanning of all documents whilst maintaining quality standards and attention to detail
- Verify scanned documents for clarity, completeness and proper file naming conventions
- Organise and index digital documents in accordance with established filing systems and database protocols
- Maintain accurate records of scanned documents and prepare reports on scanning progress and productivity
- Handle sensitive and confidential documents with appropriate care and discretion
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of scanning equipment to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure compliance with document control procedures
- Assist in preparing documents for scanning by removing staples, separating pages and arranging materials as needed
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Scanning Operator or in a similar document control or records management role
- Proficiency in operating document scanning equipment and imaging software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when processing large volumes of documents
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet scanning quotas and deadlines
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with database management systems
- Excellent organisational skills and understanding of filing systems and document classification
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain appropriate data security practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and handle documents for extended periods
- Familiarity with records management best practices and document control standards (preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
