What the role is

You will be part of a dynamic team that plays a key role in the preservation and promotion of SID's history and culture. You will be responsible for managing SID's archival systems and developing its heritage content.

What you will be working on

• Develop and manage the organisation's archival systems, including physical and digital archives, to ensure accurate and secure storage of historical records and artifacts
• Conduct archival research and curate content
• Work with stakeholders, partners and volunteers to identify and collect relevant materials for the purposes of archival and content creation
• Conceptualise and execute engaging exhibitions, programmes and publications
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in archival management and heritage content development to continuously improve our processes and strategies

If you are in a senior role, in addition to the above, you will need to

• Provide technical and strategic leadership for a team
• Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind
• Plan and guide your team’s professional growth, in both general and technical areas.
• Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential

What you will gain

What we are looking for

• Singapore Citizens only
• Degree in history, museum studies, or a related in preferred
• 5 to 8 years of experience in knowledge management and archival systems
• Experience in writing and curation for museums and exhibition, and developing creative outreach and engagement strategies is preferred
• Keen interest in Singapore's history and heritage is preferred
• Strong stakeholder, resource and project management skills
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to see the big picture and also a keen eye for detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
