Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the bar to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Ensure bar operations are conducted in accordance with hotel standards, policies and SOPs.
• Lead, guide and motivate bartenders, bar service associates and other team members.
• Assign daily duties, work stations and schedules to team members.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily operational updates.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, punctuality and work performance.
• Ensure excellent guest service and handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally.
• Monitor beverage preparation, quality, presentation and consistency according to established standards.
• Ensure team members have good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and other beverages.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service operations.
• Ensure the bar is properly set up before operations and cleaned and closed according to SOPs.
• Monitor beverage inventory, operating supplies, bar equipment and stock levels.
• Assist with stock-taking and control beverage wastage, breakages and stock discrepancies.
• Ensure proper cash handling, billing procedures and accurate recording of sales transactions.
• Monitor beverage costs and support initiatives to maximise sales and minimise operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Assist with training and coaching of new and existing team members.
• Support the Bar Manager with staff performance monitoring and operational matters.
• Assist in planning and executing bar promotions, events, functions and special activities.
• Encourage upselling and cross-selling to maximise beverage revenue.
• Prepare or assist with daily sales, stock and operational reports when required.
• Handle operational issues during the Manager's absence and escalate major matters appropriately.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Bar Manager or F&B Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Certificate in Hospitality, F&B Management or a related field; relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2–3 years of F&B or bar operations experience, preferably with supervisory experience in a hotel or restaurant.
• Good knowledge of bar operations, beverage service standards, cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages.
• Experience in beverage inventory management and cost control.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented and able to handle guest complaints professionally.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Good team management, organisational and problem-solving skills.
