Role Description The Senior Reconciliation Banking Expert is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for overseeing complex bank and account reconciliations, reviewing transactional data, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records across multiple systems. Day-to-day activities include investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies, analyzing root causes of breaks, and implementing durable process improvements. The expert will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, operations, and technology teams to optimize reconciliation workflows, strengthen controls, and support audit and compliance requirements. The role also involves documenting best practices, mentoring team members, and contributing to the design of AI-enabled tools and automation that enhance reconciliation processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Finance and Accounting skills, with solid experience in banking operations and financial controls.
• Candidates should possess advanced Account Reconciliation skills, including handling high-volume, multi-entity reconciliations and complex transactional structures.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and resolve issues systematically.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written documentation and the ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) are an advantage.
• Experience in banking or financial services, particularly in reconciliation, treasury, or back‑office processing, is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with reconciliation tools, core banking systems, and spreadsheets; familiarity with automation or AI-driven solutions is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate in diverse, cross-functional teams.
