Senior Business Analyst | Penang | Permanent

If you're a seasoned business analyst with deep roots in freight forwarding and a passion for driving meaningful change across complex, multi-country operations, this could be the role you've been waiting for.

Why Apply?
Our client is a well-established logistics organisation with a strong regional footprint spanning Southeast and South Asia. This is a high-impact, senior opportunity where you'll shape how systems, EDI integrations, and business processes evolve at a regional level - with direct exposure to operations, regional leadership, and customer IT partners.

The Role
Ready to make your mark? Here's what you'll own:

• Leading regional improvements across the full freight forwarding lifecycle, including import, export, and cross-border operations
• Taking ownership of EDI and system integration activities, from governance and standards-setting to onboarding and post-implementation support
• Supporting trade compliance, customs reporting, and data quality across regional systems
• Driving data validation, management reporting, and analytical insights for regional and HQ stakeholders
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing guidance to junior analysts

What We're Looking For
You'll bring the right blend of industry knowledge and technical capability:

• Seven or more years' experience as a business analyst within freight forwarding, logistics, or a trade-related discipline
• Hands-on experience with EDI and system integrations across formats such as EDIFACT, XML, JSON, or API
• Comfortable working with SQL - experience in PostgreSQL is a plus
• Experience working within Agile project delivery frameworks

If this sounds like your next move, apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
