About the Role

R Systems is seeking an experienced AWS AI Platform Engineer to support our Singapore client in building, configuring, and managing cloud infrastructure for AI-powered applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, security, automation, and production operations, along with practical exposure to Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.

You will be responsible for enabling secure, scalable, reliable, and production-ready environments for AI agent applications, working closely with AI application developers, solution architects, security teams, and DevOps engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and manage AWS platform components supporting Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore workloads.
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure for AI agent applications.
• Configure and manage AWS services, including IAM, VPC, networking, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and S3.
• Configure Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore capabilities from a platform and infrastructure perspective.
• Support agent deployment, runtime configuration, environment management, connectivity, and operational requirements.
• Implement platform security controls, including IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, authentication, authorization, secrets management, and network security.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, troubleshooting, and production support practices.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, access permissions, networking, runtime, integration, and deployment issues.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and cost.
• Define reusable infrastructure templates, platform standards, security guardrails, and deployment best practices.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, application developers, architects, security teams, and DevOps teams to support enterprise AI platform delivery.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

1. AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Good understanding of AWS compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring services.
• Practical experience with IAM, VPC, security groups, VPC endpoints, AWS Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, networking, access permissions, and deployment issues.

2. Amazon Bedrock & Bedrock AgentCore

• Working knowledge of Amazon Bedrock and its platform configuration, access management, and service integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, particularly runtime deployment, identity, gateway, and observability.
• Understanding of the infrastructure and operational requirements for deploying and managing AI agent applications.
• Ability to support agent runtime configuration, connectivity, security, and production operations.

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & CI/CD

• Experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Hands-on experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Understanding of environment management, deployment controls, and infrastructure versioning.

Additional Technical Skills

• Docker and container technologies.
• AWS serverless architecture and microservices.
• Secrets management and cloud security best practices.
• Monitoring, logging, tracing, and production troubleshooting.
• Cloud governance, reliability engineering, and cost optimization.
• Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms or generative AI workloads.

Priority will be given to candidates with practical Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore experience combined with strong AWS infrastructure and automation skills.

• This is an onsite contract opportunity in Singapore.
• Candidates should be comfortable with hands-on infrastructure configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Relevant implementation experience with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore is highly desirable and should be clearly highlighted in the resume.
