Secondary ICT Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary ICT Teacher with direct experience teaching the Cambridge IGCSE ICT syllabus. The successful candidate must be confident in delivering both theoretical and practical components, preparing students for IGCSE assessments, and supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE ICT syllabus and assessment objectives.
• Teach theoretical ICT concepts and practical skills, including the use of relevant software applications.
• Prepare students for IGCSE examinations, including practical assessments and examination techniques.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching resources, assignments, and assessment materials.
• Assess students’ performance, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback and academic support.
• Maintain accurate student records and prepare academic reports as required.
• Manage classroom activities effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, school events, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE ICT is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE ICT syllabus, examination structure, and assessment requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare students for both theoretical and practical examinations.
• Proficiency in relevant ICT software and practical applications required by the syllabus.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and student engagement skills.
• A recognised teaching qualification is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A student-centred educator with strong subject knowledge, practical teaching expertise, and a proven ability to prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE ICT examinations. Candidates with direct experience in IGCSE practical assessment preparation will be given priority.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
