We are looking for experienced Core Software Engineers to join a high-performance electronic trading environment, developing and optimising the technology behind sophisticated trading systems.

This is an opportunity for engineers with a strong background in traditional financial markets to work on performance-critical infrastructure, collaborating closely with trading and quantitative teams to build reliable, scalable and efficient systems.

The role offers broad engineering ownership across core trading technology, from market connectivity and data processing through to execution, risk and system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimise low-latency, high-throughput software for electronic trading
• Build and enhance exchange connectivity, market access and external trading integrations
• Develop core components supporting order management, trade execution and real-time market data
• Contribute to risk management, pricing and reporting systems
• Improve system architecture, performance and reliability through profiling, debugging and optimisation
• Develop tools and frameworks for testing, simulation and evaluating system behavior
• Work closely with traders and quantitative professionals to translate requirements into production-ready technology
• Take ownership of complex engineering projects across multiple components of the trading infrastructure

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally within electronic trading or other performance-critical financial systems
• A strong background in traditional financial markets, such as equities, futures, options or foreign exchange
• Excellent hands-on programming skills in C++ and/or Rust
• Experience developing low-latency, high-performance systems in production
• Understanding of exchange protocols, market connectivity, order management and execution workflows
• Experience across multiple areas of a trading technology stack, with the ability to work beyond a single specialised component
• Strong systems-level debugging, performance tuning and architectural skills
• Experience working with international teams, global markets or multi-region trading environments
• A highly hands-on, independent approach, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver under pressure
