Qualification and Experience

• Minimum SPM / equivalent qualification.

• Technical or vocational qualification is an advantage.

• Previous experience in stamping, press machine operation, metalworking, or manufacturing is preferred.

• Fresh candidates may be considered with appropriate training.

Skill Requirements

• Basic knowledge of stamping machine operation.

• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.

• Basic measurement skills using tools such as caliper, micrometer, and gauges.

• Ability to identify common stamping defects.

• Basic understanding of material identification and product traceability.

• Responsible and disciplined.

• Good attention to detail.

• Able to follow work instructions accurately.

• Good teamwork and communication.

• Able to work under production schedules and targets.

• Willing to learn and undergo training.

Job Roles

• To operate stamping machines safely and efficiently to produce precision stamping parts according to approved drawings, work instructions, specifications, production schedules, and quality requirements.

• Responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality, quantity, productivity, and delivery requirements while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace.

Job Responsibilities

Production Operation

• Operate stamping presses and related production equipment according to approved work instructions and operating procedures.

• Follow the production schedule and achieve the required production quantity and output.

• Check the correct part number, material, tooling, and work order before starting production.

• Load and feed materials into the stamping machine correctly.

• Monitor machine operation and production conditions during the process.

• Ensure proper handling and identification of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.

• Maintain production flow and minimize machine stoppage and unnecessary downtime.

• Report machine abnormalities, breakdowns, or unusual operating conditions to the Production Supervisor or Leader.

Quality Control

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final visual inspections as required.

• Use approved measuring equipment and inspection tools according to the work instruction.

• Check product dimensions, appearance, burrs, cracks, deformation, scratches, and other specified requirements.

• Ensure products comply with approved drawings, specifications, control plans, and customer requirements.

• Identify and segregate nonconforming products to prevent unintended use or mixing.

• Immediately report quality problems or abnormal conditions to the Supervisor / Quality Department.

• Record inspection results and production information accurately.

• Do not continue production when a serious quality issue is identified without authorization.

Machine and Tooling

1. Perform basic machine checks before starting production.

2. Ensure dies, tooling, guides, sensors, and other related equipment are properly installed and in good condition.

3. Monitor tooling condition during production.

4. Report damaged, worn, or abnormal tooling to the Supervisor.

5. Perform only authorized minor adjustments or machine settings according to the approved work instruction.

6. Do not modify machine settings or tooling without proper authorization.

Material Handling

1. Verify the correct raw material before use.

2. Check material identification, specification, thickness, and quantity where applicable.

3. Handle materials carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or mixing.

4. Maintain proper identification and traceability of materials and products.

5. Return unused materials to the designated storage area and ensure proper identification.

Production Records

1. Complete production records accurately and on time.

2. Record production quantity, rejected quantity, downtime, inspection results, and other required information.

3. Report any discrepancy between actual production quantity and recorded quantity.

4. Ensure all required production documents are properly maintained.

5S / 7S and Housekeeping

1. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.

2. Follow the company's 5S / 7S requirements.

3. Keep tools, materials, containers, and equipment in their designated locations.

4. Remove unnecessary materials and waste from the work area.

5. Clean the machine and surrounding area after production or as required.

6. Ensure aisles, emergency exits, and access areas are clear and unobstructed.

7. Follow proper waste segregation and disposal requirements.

Safety

1. Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.

2. Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).

3. Operate machines only when trained and authorized.

4. Never bypass or disable machine guards, sensors, or safety devices.

5. Keep hands and body parts away from dangerous moving parts.

6. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, and safety hazards immediately.

7. Follow proper lockout/tagout or machine isolation requirements when applicable.

8. Stop the machine and inform the Supervisor if an unsafe condition occurs.

Authority

• Stop production when a serious safety or quality issue is identified.

• Report machine, tooling, material, and product abnormalities.

• Segregate suspected nonconforming products.

• Request assistance from the Supervisor, Maintenance, or Quality Department.

• Perform only machine adjustments and activities within their approved training and authorization.
