Job Responsibilities
Create purchase orders and blanket orders for direct materials based on production and material requirements.
Follow up with suppliers on PO acknowledgement, delivery schedules, and overdue orders to minimise supply disruptions.
Monitor material shortages, excess inventory, and potential supply risks, escalating issues where required.
Coordinate with Planning, Production, Warehouse, QA, Finance, and Engineering teams on procurement and material-related matters.
Monitor supplier delivery performance and lead times, and maintain accurate records within the MRP/ERP system.
Support supplier performance reviews and improvement initiatives, including follow-up on recurring delivery or quality issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information, including pricing, lead times, MOQ, order quantities, supplier details, and delivery status.
Prepare rolling year supplier forecasts based on production requirements and loading plans.
Coordinate with freight forwarders on inbound and outbound air and sea shipments.
Provide regular shipment and delivery updates to the production and planning teams.
Job Requirement
Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or material planning.
Good analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify potential supply issues and take timely action.
