About the Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Governance & Implementation Lead to establish, operationalise, and oversee AI governance practices at the local level.

The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to assess AI use cases, ensure compliance with organisational policies and risk controls, and oversee the implementation of AI initiatives in alignment with business objectives and global governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain local AI governance processes aligned with global policies and standards.
• Assess AI initiatives for governance, risk, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Evaluate AI use cases based on business value, feasibility, risk, and implementation readiness.
• Provide governance oversight throughout the AI implementation lifecycle.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, risk assessments, and controls are in place before deployment.
• Identify potential AI-related risks and recommend suitable mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with business, IT, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Security, and Procurement stakeholders.
• Monitor implementation progress and provide governance updates and recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with global AI governance teams and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in AI implementation, AI governance, or digital/technology transformation.
• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI use cases and enterprise AI adoption.
• Experience assessing and justifying AI business use cases.
• Good knowledge of technology governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
• Strong PMO and project management capabilities.
• Experience developing governance policies, standards, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technology and governance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in regulated or governance-focused enterprise environments is an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• AI Governance / Responsible AI
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
• ITIL / IT Governance
• Cloud or AI certifications (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or equivalent)
• Risk, Compliance, or Information Security certifications
